Trip to St. Louis

I am currently at Teresa's right now. She lives in St. Louis. I stayed the night to make traveling a bit easier, and to spend time with her and Charlie, of course. Last night, we went for a walk, did a lot of catching up, ate pizza, watched Totoro, and ate Sweet potato praline ice cream. It was really tasty, kind of like a pumpkin ice cream. It has been great catching up with her. We went to college together and were in the same program: ceramics. She is now an art teacher, also. We always have so much to share and talk about. On top of it all, she will be getting married this year, too!

Today, we're going to the Goodwill outlet and some antique shops. I'll be looking for glass items for the wedding. At 4, I'll be meeting up with Khaled and other people from the Sunday group. It will be so nice to catch up with them all. I'll be traveling back to Salem, tonight. Luckily, we have Monday off because of President's Day and I'll be using that to catch up on school work.

Wedding news.... the caterer and cake have been causing havoc lately. We got dropped from one caterer because (I think) our budget was too low. Then our bakery told us they couldn't deliver our cake 1 1/2 away. This was after they strongly suggested it. So, we are now going with a new caterer, Barn and Grill, and a new bakery in Rolla, Heavenly Divine. Our flavors will change a little bit, but it will be close enough. In flavor and distance!

We also bought tickets to Hawaii! That was pretty huge. We booked a condo that's near where my friend Laura lives. She has offered to go with us to Costco to buy gas and groceries while we are there for 2 weeks!!!
So, things are coming along. However, I have been having heartburn lately. The only thing I can think of is that it's stress, but I feel I have definitely been more stressed out in the past. I'm taking the off brand of Prilosec and it helps for the most part, but if I skip a day it creeps up. Hopefully, getting the caterer and cake secured will help.
